  1. WEB 2.0 in Practice - Since Molo

‘If you asked me about anything about Web Tools before September 2010, I would respond it is a set of very scary HTML sort of things, and I am not interested! All I knew was my Yahoo inbox and of course Google, period.’ When I applied for CTA’s Web 2.0 Learning Opportunity at Baraka Agricultural College (BAC) held in Molo Kenya on September 20-24, 2010, I had no idea it will become such an eye opener to Web Tools I never knew existed. My fellow participants and I (see us here http://kikundichacta.blogspot.com/) learnt a lot. Since Molo and now, I have managed to train several people in my institution and outside. I have also build 3 blogs (one for LARMAT, my Department at the university of Nairobi, now maintained by our Secretary (http://soilisalive.blogspot.com/); One for Rehabilitation of Arid environments (RAE) Trust, and lastly one for myself called Functional Ecosystems (http://thedrystreams.blogspot.com/). I am still learning, since the more I know, the more I have to learn!!!

I am grateful to CTA for opening my eyes about WEB 2.0, and encourage them to continue to reach to as many in the developing countries as possible. When the 'trained becomes the trainers', it’ll explode like bush fire!

Imagine the many untold stories in these countries, besides the potential of socio-economic development in the rural areas following information sharing?

What is your story? Who knows, it might inspire someone else and change the world as well. So go ahead and share it.
